It’s time for Jam at the Dam with Featherpocket!
Featherpocket is a Charlotte, NC based 4-piece band, whose musical stylings bridge the spectrum of country, rock, and funk. Jam at the Dam | Nathan Dowdy & The HWY
It’s time for Jam at the Dam with The Hwy!
Brought together in Charlotte NC, The Hwy is a two-piece Americana rock duo, backed by a strong rhythm section, blending the strong stylistic approaches of Jordan Minor and Nathan Dowdy. They hail from different sides of the musical spectrum, but trace common roots in old-time rock-n-roll and bluegrass. Together they bring forward an energetic, dynamic, yet tender expression, and strive to make music the way they do life: no-holds-barred, honest, passionate, and wild.
Jam at the Dam | David Childers
It’s time for Jam at the Dam with David Childers!
Singer-songwriter David Childers is the proverbial study in contradictions. A resident of Mount Holly, North Carolina, he’s a former high-school football player with the aw-shucks demeanor of a good ol’ Southern boy. But he’s also a well-read poet and painter who cites Chaucer and Kerouac as influences, fell in love with folk as a teen, listens to jazz and opera, and fed his family by practicing law before turning in his license to concentrate on his creative passions
Jam at the Dam | The Hourglass Kids
It’s time for Jam at the Dam with The Hourglass Kids!
Combining elements of Roots-Reggae, Hard Psychedelic Rock, Hip-Hop, and Jazz, The Hourglass Kids craft an experimental sound that is never lacking in groove. Traversing between traditional roots rhythms and explosive jams, The Hourglass Kids explore atmospheric soundscapes that have been dubbed as “Earth Reverb” by their peers.
Jam at the Dam | Strut Jazz Band
Celebrate the reopening of the Boathouse with our first Jam at the Dam of the Season! Kicking us off is Strut Jazz Band! Strut began as a jam session at the University of Delaware in 2015. Some students from the percussion department started improvising together, not caring what genre became of it. We hope you enjoy our crazy music!
